Accessibility Statement
Last updated 27 May 2026
Orchard Couture is committed to digital accessibility for everyone.
Standard
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the level required under the European Accessibility Act (in force since 28 June 2025) for consumer e-commerce.
What we do
- Semantic, keyboard-navigable structure with visible focus indicators throughout.
- Alt text on every meaningful image; decorative imagery marked accordingly.
- Form fields labelled and error-linked via ARIA.
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text.
- Honour your operating-system preference for reduced motion.
- Closed captions on every video.
- A screen-reader-narrated checkout.
Known limitations
We test the storefront monthly with axe-core and quarterly with an external accessibility auditor. Any known issues are listed here and worked through on a documented schedule.
Feedback
If you encounter any accessibility barrier, email support@orchardcouture.com with the page URL and what didn't work. We respond within five working days and prioritise accessibility fixes ahead of feature work.
Formal complaints
If our response doesn't resolve your concern, you may contact the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or the National Disability Authority as appropriate.
